Karen Chinchilla is a third‑generation seamstress and tailor raised in New York City, where her lifelong fascination with fashion naturally evolved into a dedicated craft. Surrounded by garment makers from an early age, she developed an intuitive understanding of construction, fit, and couture technique.
After graduating from Parsons School of Design in 2005, Karen went on to hold tailoring roles at Marni, John Varvatos, Miu Miu, Prada, Christian Dior, and Alexander McQueen. Her expertise also led her to collaborate closely with the PR teams for Givenchy Haute Couture, Stella McCartney, and Prada special projects, supporting high‑visibility moments and precision‑driven fashion initiatives.
She now specializes in high fashion and luxury alterations, red carpet preparation, custom womenswear, and menswear.
